Island in the Sun

We cleared the island in the center of the driveway

of bushes, trees and brush

to let the sunshine in,

It also allowed us a place to put the dirt

we excavated out of the foundation.

Timber!

This tree was growing where the garage is going to be built.

 Not only did it have an elbow, but it was also leaning towards the house.

  Rod VanOver welcomed the challenge of cutting it down, and did a masterful job.

We cleared out 4 other trees.

Where do we begin?

Our first project was to clear out the pile of firewood and misc. debris collected over very many years.  Ken hauled 3 trailer-loads to the dump.
