Johnny Makes the Grade
Peter Trannel let us use his Gradall.
Johnny drove it from the west side of Bozeman
up to Bear Canyon.
The Demolition Derby Continues
We decided to take out all of the old insulation. And we're glad we did. Each sheet of old insulation seemed to be the former home of an insect, rodent or mammal.
Another "Roof" Day
Hmmmm.....
\
Ken and Johnny built up the roof
to allow room for insulation
and to make straight that which was crooked.
Stocking the roof. Even the heating subcontractor, Jim, gave us a hand.
It's a "Roof" Job
The old shakes.
"Hinds Feet in High Places"...Much Afraid
I think they want me to go faster :-)

Making Plans
The Kitchen
Johnny had the great idea of rounding the wall above the chimney.
We wanted a large window in the
kitchen to let the sunshine in.
We also added 2 transoms up above it.
Ready for sheetrock.
Johnny Floored Us!
Adding flooring to an old log cabin can be a bit of a challenge.
Johnny "mastered" our bedroom,
the bathrom floor was "flush"
and he was really "cooking" in the kitchen.
Having a Blast
We hired Montana Log Restoration, Inc.
to blast the logs with walnut shells, then sand the logs.
Wow,
What a difference it made!
Another Room With a View
The guest room and upstairs are framed...
...and trussed.
What a view!
The Daily Grind
Ken's grinding off an old anchor bolt from the cabin.
